We are seeking an SEO/ Senior SEO Consultant to join our team who is proactive, passionate about getting results for clients and eager to stay at the forefront of digital marketing.

The role involves understanding a client’s goals, compiling a strategy to deliver results and then working to deliver on that strategy. You will be working alongside team members across our agency and we expect most team members to be able to work closely with clients too, so good communication skills are essential. Being able to translate SEO-geekery into plain English is always helpful!

The role requires someone who loves to engage in continuous learning to keep their technical skills and SEO strategies up to date.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating the overall SEO strategies across multiple clients in various sectors.
  • Undertaking the tasks to achieve the strategies; including technical optimisation, off-page SEO and content optimisation.
  • Reporting on results, communicating with colleagues and clients about next steps and identifying new opportunities for clients.
  • Be an all-round expert on on-page, technical and off-page SEO.
  • Trialling new software and innovative methodologies and sharing results with colleagues.
  • Creating strategies for prospective clients, including research and analysis for new business opportunities.
  • Attending relevant industry events and running learning and development sessions internally.
  • Structuring and managing your own workload, organising and prioritising tasks to deliver the best results for clients.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in SEO.
  • Proven experience as an SEO consultant or similar role, preferably within an agency.
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, how to identify and communicate clearly on how to fix the issues to boost organic performance.
  • Confident with a range of tools including GA4, SemRush, Screaming Frog and others.
  • Strong experience in off-page SEO and linkbuilding.
  • Strong organisational, communication and commercial skills.
  • A strong understanding of Fountain’s other services, Paid Media, Measurement and Conversion Rate Optimisation
  • Experience in writing excellent copy.
  • Setting up accurate tracking for your clients.
  • Able to demonstrate significant uplifts to organic traffic and revenue for clients

While previous agency experience isn’t a must, an awareness of the particular nature of agency life would be helpful.

At Fountain, we’re passionate about our culture, our values and about always improving our way of working. We give Fountaineers a large amount of flexibility, and in return ask them to hold themselves accountable to their colleagues, their clients and the agency to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Why join Fountain?

We’re committed to building a truly exceptional place to work. And while we’d never claim to always get it right, we do promise that we’ll always do our best. Here are some of the benefits of joining our team:

  • Genuinely flexible working and a commitment to supporting “life beyond work” for our team members
  • A hybrid-remote set-up, with technology set up to enable remote as well as in-person work
  • An exceptional working culture that celebrates expertise and supports autonomy
  • A focus on progression and development, including monthly Learning Days (with pizza!)
  • Lovely, well-equipped office in the heart of Norwich city centre with all the usual agency perks, from snacks to ping-pong tournaments
  • 25 days of holiday a year, plus bank holidays. An additional day of holiday for each year at Fountain (up to 34 days)
  • Private healthcare cover through Aviva and Bupa

This role can be remote, hybrid-remote, or fully office-based, depending on your preferences.

The interview process will involve first and second stage interviews, as well as an informal meet-and-greet with key team members.
